Our Services

Capital West helps people find the most suitable lender and loan product, based on their needs and current financial position. Whether you are looking to buy your first home, wish to refinance, or need any other type of loan (personal loan, business loan, or commercial loan), we will not only find the best lender and loan product to suit your needs, but will also lodge the application on your behalf, and administer the loan process right up to settlement.

Using Capital West’s services to find the right loan will save you a great deal of time, and in many cases a great amount of money. Further to this, Capital West means convenience; a broker can come and visit you and at time and place convenient to you. Capital West does not charge its customers anything for our service; we are instead remunerated by the lenders.

Consideration of appropriate loan options

There are a multitude of lenders on the market, offering thousands of various loan products collectively. Capital West will analyse your needs and current financial situation, will thereafter ascertain which products you are eligible for, and make a recommendation to you as to which products offer the best solution for you.

In terms of finding, analysing, and recommending loan products, Capital West is able to expertly assist by providing our brokers with the best possible training and tools. In essence, these encompass:

a) Sound product and market knowledge, backed by continual ongoing training. Not only does this mean our brokers constantly stay abreast of product and market changes, it further fulfils the requirements of accreditation with industry bodies such as the Professional Lenders Association of Australia.

b) Leading-edge software which facilitates the comparison of hundreds of various products based on eligibility criteria, interest rates, product features, and serviceability. Our software is updated on a daily basis to reflect any changes in products as initiated by the lenders on our panel.

c) Access to Business Development Managers at each of the lenders on our panel. This network allows for quick and effective communication between Capital West and a given lender, for all matters concerning your loan, both before lodgement as well as after settlement.

Preparation and lodgement of loan submission

The lodgement of numerous loan applications with a variety of lenders is not to be recommended. Lodging multiple loan applications with various lenders in the hope of increasing your chances of one of them being accepted can actually be counter-productive. Whilst performing credit checks, lenders will be aware of your other loan applications, and may consider you to be simply ‘shopping around’. Some lenders will therefore not consider loan applications if, for instance, there have been more than three separate credit checks by other lenders within the last three months.

Capital West will lodge your application once we are satisfied that there is a good chance of the application being accepted. Applications are generally lodged online using our loan software, which submits the loan application directly to the lender in question. In most instances conditional approval is granted within 24 hours of lodgement. We will keep you updated throughout every step of the application.

Administration of the loan process right through until settlement

Once conditional approval has been granted, lenders will invariably need further documentation before the loan can be unconditionally approved. This may be subject to receiving any outstanding documents, and in the case of a home loan, a contract of sale and valuation of the property.

Your Capital West broker will let you now exactly which documents may still be outstanding, and will submit these on your behalf as part of the application process. Further to this, your broker will ensure that you are fully aware of everything relating to your application, such as the ability to lock in interest rates until the property legally becomes yours (a possible option with certain lenders, for fixed rate products), the period for which conditional approval will be valid, possible problems arising from credit issues, and any other issues which may need to be addressed before the loan is unconditionally approved.

Throughout the entire loan process, your broker will keep you updated on the status of you loan application. Our service to you does not stop at settlement though. We encourage you to contact us anytime you have any queries about your loan. We are happy to answer any questions you may have at any stage.

Liaise between solicitors and any other parties

In addition to communicating with the lender of your choice on your behalf, your broker will also be able to assist by liaising with your solicitor or conveyancer and any other party that may play a role in your loan application.
